Reduction of Drought Stress Effects on Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.) using Ascorbic Acid and Calcium Carbonate

چکیده

Background: How plants respond to stress conditions can play an important role in the establishment and increasing crop yield. The results of researchers’ reports indicate that extensive morphophysiological biochemical changes occur under drought conditions. This study aimed investigate effects ascorbic acid (AA) calcium carbonate (CC) on guar different soil moisture Methods: experimental treatments included three levels (30%, 50% 70% field capacity, FC) foliar application (no application, with CC AA 0/003 concentration). Result: Drought caused increase sugar content relative other treatments. An intensity led proline content, soluble protein ascorbate peroxidase (APX) enzyme activity. On hand, Leaf water (RWC) decreased significantly. increased RWC control condition. In general, availability below FC seems induce countermeasures guar. Foliar effectively mitigate this plant.

Effect of drought tension and salicylic acid on some morphophysiological and agronomic traits of guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.)

Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.) is a tropical drought tolerant crop, potentially proper for arid areas. The objective of present survey was to evaluate the effect of different irrigation regimes and salicylic acid levels on morphological, physiological and seed yield of Guar. The present experiment was conducted as split plots based on randomized complete blocks design with four replications....

RNA-Seq of Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, L. Taub.) Leaves: De novo Transcriptome Assembly, Functional Annotation and Development of Genomic Resources

Genetic improvement in industrially important guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, L. Taub.) crop has been hindered due to the lack of sufficient genomic or transcriptomic resources. In this study, RNA-Seq technology was employed to characterize the transcriptome of leaf tissues from two guar varieties, namely, M-83 and RGC-1066. Approximately 30 million high-quality pair-end reads of each variety ge...
